Tamoxifen...for breast cancer....if you are taking it or know someone who is!
by restrangled inthis was talked about in the senate today.....tamoxifen is not metabolized by all women.
due to the new gene research it has been discovered that a good portion of breast cancer patients do not metabolize the above mentioned drug.
in fact, it was stated, unless your doctor has done a blood test to see if you can metabolize it,....you might as well be eating m and m candies....virtually worthless.

Pick up those Laundry Mat/Hospital Magazines and Mark them with SEE JWFACTS.COM!!!

so for some time now, in attempt to help prevent the dubs from spreading their lies in the magazines, my parents (rock hound and little bo peep) have been stopping by the local laundry mats and taking out all the watchtower and awakes that are left behind and with a pen they write on the magazine, see jwfacts.com, and then they highlight it, and put it back in the laundry mat!
they have been doing this for some time now, and guess what??

Good Morning everyone..."Happy Monday" to you!!
So for some time now, in attempt to help prevent the Dubs from spreading their lies in the magazines, my parents (Rock Hound and Little Bo Peep) have been stopping by the local Laundry Mats and taking out all the Watchtower and Awakes that are left behind and with a pen they write on the magazine, SEE JWFACTS.COM, and then they highlight it, and put it back in the Laundry Mat!
They have been doing this for some time now, and guess what?? No longer are the Dubs leaving any literature in those places!! YAY!!! I told them they need to start hitting the hospital regularly next!!
Isn't that great!! It's called "Theocratic Warfare" biting them back in the butt!! LOL!! Just thought I'd pass the idea along and see how many more magazines we can get stopped from being left at these places!!

No Shorts and T-Shirts After Convention - Remember?
by mentallyfree31 indoes everyone remember a few years back, when the km directed that nobody should wear shorts after the convention while out and about?
i don't have the reference, but i remember a brother in our hall made a comment that night at the meeting while it was being discussed.
he was a very poor brother, with 3 children.

When I heard this a while back, I just could not believe it!! When we were still in we were always assigned to go to the Distric convention in a city where it was 102-105 in the summer time. It was WAY to hot to sit outside and even have lunch! And when my husband would volunteer (bless his soul) for parking, the soles of his shoes would get so stinking hot on the pavement that the bottoms of his shoes would start to melt!!! I WILL NEVER forget that!! He would come in from outside EXHAUSTED!! Nothing seemed more looked forward to then getting out of that suit, necktie and those hot shoes, and then hitting the pool!!! I just cannot believe they would be SO controlling (ah..second thought.. yes I guess I actually can believe it) that they would try and prevent children and adults who just stood out in the grueling heat volunteering for them, from enjoying the pool each evening!!
I remember when we were kids, the summer convention was like our mini vacation! We LOVED the fact that we could go swimming in the pool!! Can you imagine how these little ones feel now...walking by the pool after the convention, having left their swimming suits at home...no longer being able to enjoy this wholesome activity, giving them a chance to get out all that pent up energy after a LONG BORING day sitting for hours and hours??
I thought that this new no shorts rule was if your out to dinner, and I thought that was bad enough...did anyone even really heed this council??? UNSTINKIN BELIEVABLE!!!

My dog, Alice, 12 yrs old...died last night.

Pics of tornado damage by our house that hit FRI night
by purplesofa inthree of my kids live within two miles of where this tornado hit friday night.. it was a pretty frightful night.
my daughters apt was three inches from getting flooded.
we moved what we could to upstairs and on shelves.. stayed in half bath with grandbaby with pillows and blankets over the baby.. my son has been working at this site where it hit to help out.. these pics were taken today (sunday) can't imagine what it looked like yesterday, they said there were over 300 (worldly) .
